WCDA is the official Charter Organization for the Scouting America Troop 34 (Boys) of Winterport-Frankfort, Maine, Scouting America Troop 234 (Girls) of Winterport, Maine and Cub Scout Pack 234 (Boys and Girls) of Winterport.
Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) issues annual charters to religious, community, and education based organizations whose objectives, mission, and methodologies are compatible with those of the BSA. Scouting is a great youth movement dedicated to the character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness of American youth. This charter allows those organizations to operate the Scouting program and provides them needed literature, training, support materials, and direct professional service.
The Waldo Civil Defense Association is all about Being Prepared. The Scout Motto is Be Prepared. The WCDA is honored to be a part of the Scouting America Program.
